Euro 2024 Opening Ceremony: Everything You Need to Know About the Time, Date, and Performers

Just before the big kickoff, there's going to be a fancy opening ceremony at Euro 2024. They're planning a spectacular fireworks show and a special moment where they'll showcase the flags of all the countries taking part in the tournament.

But that's not all. UEFA wants to pay a heartfelt tribute to the late Franz Beckenbauer, a true legend of German football. Beckenbauer sadly passed away earlier this year at the age of 78. He was a key figure in West Germany's soccer history, leading them to victory in both the European Championship in 1972 and the World Cup in 1974.

For this special occasion, Bernard Dietza and Jurgen Klinsmann will be joined by Beckenbauer's wife, Heidi, as they bring out the Euro 2024 trophy, named the Henri Delaunay Cup, onto the pitch before the first game kicks off.

And hey, the party's already started! On June 13th, there was a fantastic opening concert in Stuttgart, featuring some of Germany's top musical talents like DJs Robin Schulz, Le Shuuk, and Topic, along with singer-songwriter Leony.
